CryptoPunks sales hit $1.1 million, sending NFTs soaring

CryptoPunks’ NFT recently sold for 600 Ethereum (ETH) and was worth $1.14 million, making it the largest single NFT sale in the past seven days and the second largest single NFT sale in the last month.

The auction, involving CryptoPunk #7458, took place on November 6th at Larva Labs. Interestingly, the recipient address is relatively new and the NFT purchase represents its second transaction. This address received 360 ETH from a Coinbase address two hours before purchasing the NFT.

NFT data aggregator resource CryptoSlam Confirm The recent transfer was the largest single NFT transaction last week. In addition, this transaction is also the second largest transaction in the past month, second only to a Cryptoadz collectible that sold for 1,055 WETH and was worth $1.655 million at auction.

CryptoPunk Dominates NFT Sales

Notably, the recent sales increase the cumulative sales volume of the CryptoPunks series, bringing the total volume to a whopping $4 million across 29 transactions in the past 24 hours. Sales of the series increased by 1,929%.

Notably, the CryptoPunks series has dominated the NFT scene over the past day, with as many as 7 of the top ten best-selling products during this time being attributed to the series. This dominance extends to the top 35 sales, with CryptoPunks accounting for 29 of the top sales.

Statistics confirm that yesterday alone, the market observed the sale of 18 unique CryptoPunks NFTs, marking the largest intraday sales since March. Recent developments have fueled speculation of renewed interest in NFTs after a period of continued apathy among market participants.

Further data from DappRadar shows that the CryptoPunks market has larger sales than NFT marketplace OpenSea, which saw $2.92 million in transactions in the past 24 hours. The sales volume of the CryptoPunks series is only lower than that of Blur, with sales of $9.61 million.

It’s worth noting that the recent growing interest in CryptoPunks and the NFT scene coincides with a recent episode of The Simpsons, “Wild Barts Can’t be Token,” in which the NFT scene was parodied.

In addition, last week, the famous art market Avant Arte partnership Partnering with Yuga Labs, the company behind CryptoPunks. Through this partnership, Avant Arte has launched a campaign offering CryptoPunks holders a 48-hour opportunity to receive a physical version of their NFT.
